The Stoughton Dancers began in 1953, and have been entertaining the young and old through Norwegian dances.

They have performed all across the United States, Canada, British Columbia, and have made 4 tours to Norway.
-
This year during Spring Break, the Stoughton Dancers will be performing in Arizona.
History Alive Project is announcing our cultural speaker for Westby Syttende Mai 2025. We are extremely pleased to offer to our community this important individual so you can learn so much more about Norway.
Former United States Ambassador to Norway, Mr. Tom Loftus, accepted our invitation earlier this year.
Each year HAP has always worked to bring you the best cultural speakers and programs about Norway. HAP knows that many of you have attended previous presentations each year: the Chief Curator at Vesterheim, the very skilled Hardanger fiddler from Madison WI and the solje story presenter from Walworth WI.
History Alive Project wants everyone to have a chance to hear Mr. Loftus, so HAP is covering the entire cost; it is free to attend!
Mr. Loftus will speak at 1 p.m. May 17 in the lower level of the New Directions Real Estate building located at 110 N. Maiin Street, Westby. Plan to enter from the south side of the Building.
DO NOT MISS this chance to listern, learn and ask questions from this high level dignitary. Bring your friends. Plan to purchase one of his books and have it autographed!
Refreshments wiill be served!

No place really becomes a community until it is wrapped in human memory: Family stories, celebrated traditions and every day life all contribute to this. No place is a community until it has awareness of its history. Our connections and commitment to one another are strengthened when we share stories and experiences.
